Installation — ns-height
-
Put the
ns-heightfolder into your resources (e.g.resources/[nullsect]/ns-height). -
Make sure
oxmysqland your framework start before it. WithConfig.Database.autoMigrate = true(default) the tables are created on the first start. Otherwise importsql/ns-height.sqlmanually. -
OneSync must be enabled (the server reads the ped model to know the natural height).
-
Add to
server.cfg:ensure ns-height add_ace group.admin ns-height.admin allow -
Restart the server.
Verify
| Check | Expected |
|---|---|
| Server console | [ns-height:SV] [INFO] ready (framework=qbox, core=…) |
| Database | tables ns_height_meta and ns_height exist |
/boy as admin | the panel opens with the "Manage" tab |
/boy as a player without credits | refused with a notification |
/boyizin <id> 1, then /boy as that player | the panel opens, Apply works once, then the credit is gone |
| A second player standing next to you | sees the new height |
Relog / restart ns-height | the height is still there |
Calibration
The natural heights in Config.BaseHeight and Config.PelvisOffset are estimates. Calibrate them once on
your server:
- Set your height to the minimum (
150) and stand on flat ground. If the feet float, lowerConfig.PelvisOffset. If they sink into the ground, raise it. Repeat at200. - Stand next to a prop of known height to check that 178 cm looks like 178 cm. If not, change
Config.BaseHeightfor that model. - Addon / custom peds use
Config.BaseHeight.default. Add a line per model you use (model_name = cm).
Troubleshooting
oxmysql is not started→ start oxmysql before ns-height.Migration v… failed→ the database user needs CREATE / ALTER permission, or import the SQL file.No framework adapter is active→Config.Frameworknames a framework that is not started.- Everyone has the default natural height → OneSync is off, so the server cannot read the ped model.
- The height flickers in some animations → expected for a few emotes and scenarios. GTA resets the matrix there.
